About Megan

Ted and I at the Village of Hope in Ghana, West Africa

Hi!  I’m Megan Howard — a writer, teacher, and random-thought thinker.  I live in Dallas, TX with my awesome husband Ted and dog-child Hank.  This blog is an adventure in the small ways (and sometimes big ways) of life — living simply and finding joy in small moments.  I love to read, write, pray, and teach, so my blog posts will be centered around these small, daily actions.

As for my occupation, I am a full-time writing tutor at a community college tutoring center, teaching developmental writing classes (think 6th grade English for adults) on the side.  I have a B.S. in Psychology from Abilene Christian University, and an M.A. in English Literature from Southern Methodist University.  I also have purple sneakers.

As for my unoccupied (unpaid) time,  I read books on my Kindle, devise ways to teach writing in new and interesting, write scripture in a journal (a very good way to pray), random-thought think with my more random-thought-thinking husband, (use too many parentheticals in my writing), and dream of revisiting Africa.

Megan, I am thoroughly enjoying reading all of your thoughts, ideas, and ramblings about great things. Keep up this great work. What an interesting granddaughter you are.
